This one-hour class is an interdisciplinary tour of yoga, corrective exercise, breath strategies, and mindset work to help you find and heal your ‘body blind spots.’ Each class helps you find areas of overuse, underuse or misuse, and improves your body awareness.
Classes challenge your tolerance for adaptability and enlarge your capacity for positive change. You’ll feel as though you’ve moved into a better-fitting suit by the end of each class, and wonder why you’ve waited so long to see a tailor.
This class is your self-massage wish list for body parts easily neglected in daily living.
Each 30-minute rollout hones in on hot-spots like your texting thumb, grinding jaw, sleepy bottom or ‘ache in your neck.’ The class will guide you through targeted massage of local areas that lead to global improvements throughout your body.
You’ll become an anatomical whiz as you learn, feel and embody your body.
1 Bender Ball OR children’s inflatable ball OR small, clean throw pillow or Yoga Tune Up Coregeous Ball
2 massage or tennis balls (If using tennis balls, I recommend wrapping them in duct tape for grip)
In Yin Yoga, we target the connective tissues – like the ligaments and fascia – to bring the body into balance and increase its range of motion. Most poses are done while seated or lying down and are held in stillness for 2-5 minutes.
This practice will leave you feeling refreshed, relaxed, renewed, and restored.
